The women’s category will also feature a clash between Lagos-based Seasider Babes and Defender Babes of the Civil Defence. Bendel Dynamos girls, on the other hand, will have the opportunity to test their mettle against former champions Plateau Peacocks from Jos.
The defending champions, Safety Babes, will begin their title defense against Benue Queens in what promises to be an enthralling encounter. In the men’s category, former champions Niger United will go head-to-head with Confluence Stars, while Safety Shooters, the 2020 champions, will face off against Benue Buffaloes.
The reigning champions in the men’s division, Kano Pillars, will commence their quest for another title as they take on Rima Strikers from Sokoto. Adding to the excitement, Seasider Boys will battle their city rivals, Tojemarine Academy, in a thrilling encounter.
De Defenders of the Civil Defence will be aiming to prove a point as they face newly promoted Correction Boys, while Bendel Dynamos men, who recently secured promotion to the premier league, will face a tough challenge against Police Machine.
With a new sponsor on board, the sixth season of the top-tier handball league promises to be a grand spectacle.
