Nigerian-born former world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Olaseni Oluwafemi Joshua has disclosed that he has three major targets to achieve this year.
Sports247 reports that Joshua, who spent several days holidaying in Nigeria during the past yuletide, is eager to tango the current champion, Daniel Dubois and win his belts back in an epic rematch.

Aside from aiming to defeat Dubois and become three-time world champ, ‘AJ’ disclosed further that he also wants to get a long-awaited and much-anticipated all-British showdown with fellow-former champion, Tyson Fury.
Joshua affirmed that his hunger for success makes him eager to achieve more heroics and etch greater milestones in the roped square.
“It’s hunger that makes you more hungry to achieve. It makes you want to work harder, because time is of the essence. I just want to put in more work,” Joshua explained.
He went on to confess that he did not achieve much in the past year, hence his determination to step up and go all out for greater gains this time around.
The native of Sagamu in Ogun State added, “When I look back on 2024, I think I should have done more. Now, I have another chance in 2025 to do it.I’m going to make sure that I have every opportunity that comes my way. I should have won (against Daniel Dubois), but I didn’t, and I want to go again.”
The tall and muscular Joshua, who won an Olympic Games gold medal at London 2012, then took a look at his chequered boxing career, and concluded with a verdict that God will direct him in making the right choices.
“Ups and downs happen. Some people’s way is always up. Mine is up and down. So, I get used to the turbulent times, and I can’t stop now. I’ll keep riding the wave until I reach my destination (which is to become) three-time world champion and (fight) Tyson Fury.
We’re not sure (of the date) yet … but that’s my target. For 2025, I’m targeting Tyson Fury. Only God knows what we will see in the future,” Joshua submitted philosophically
