The second edition of the Delta North Football Coaches Tournament christened the ANIOMA NATIONS CUP will kick off this weekend at various centers. According to the fixtures released on thursday by the Chairman of the Association, Coach Emeka Okwutu, hostilities will be held at 5 Centers within the Delta North Region. Over at Agbor Center, Matches will be played on Sunday 30th October. Winners FC will trade tackles with defending champions Big daddy at 1pm after which newly formed Agbor united will take on Ihu iyase FC at the 3pm Kickoff. Both matches will be played at the Agbor Township Stadium.
At the Ogwashi uku zone NOBEI FC will lock horns with Visionaries on Saturday 29th October at 1pm, after which
Bright star will do battle with Rising star at 3pm
Also on Saturday at the Asaba zone on match Day 1 Texas will take on De-king at 1pm while Anayounns vs Dubin FC will be at 3pm. both games will be played at St Molumba Asaba.
Over at the Federal College Technical Permanent site in Asaba, Raiders FC will file out against Mega stars 1pm
following which Five stars will play against Royal FC at 3pm
On Sunday Match Day 1 Asaba zone at the Federal College Technical Permanent site, Mimi fc will tackle Sowers FC at 1pm then NYSC FC vs Santos will follow at 3pm
Chairman of the LOC, Coach Patrick Okeleke urged all teams to be punctual at their respective venues and stated that the International Standard football rules will be strictly adhered to. “We call on all teams to please take note of the schedules and try to be on time for their respective fixtures, we will follow international rules of the game and so we expect all coaches and players to be conversant with these rules” he said.
Twenty Four teams will be looking to become the champions which Big Daddy FC, Agbor won last year after defeating Osevan FC Of Kwale in the finals.
