The city of Kaduna was turned into a carnival-like, as award-winning Authentic Nigeria Football Supporters Club was in hand to give life and glamour to the 2020 Kaduna Marathon.
Two Kenyans John Muirurri Mburu and Caren Jebet Maiyo won the maiden 21km Kaduna Half Marathon race, with John describing the race as a good one. According to the Kenyan who has been running for 10 years, the Kaduna weather was clement and that makes the race easier for him. He said he has been training for the race and was not surprised that he won.
The melodious tunes from the supporters club got the fans and the athletes entertained.
The Kaduna City Marathon was hosted by the Kaduna State Government and organized by Nilayo Sports Management Limited NSML.
Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, the leader of the group commended the Kaduna state government led by Mallam El Rifai, who is a patron of ANFSC and the management of Nilayo Sports Management Limited NSML for putting up such a wonderful sporting event.
