The coronavirus has spread so wide that it has become a threat to man’s freedom as every sporting events in the world has stopped, most till further notice. The Authentic Nigeria Football Supporters Club has become responsible to their members and to the sportswriters of Nigeria at large.
In other to control the widespread Coronavirus pandemic, the Authentic Nigerian Football Supporters Club ANFSC has concluded plans to distribute face masks to its members as well as all sports Journalist in the country registered with the Sports Writers Association Of Nigeria SWAN.
Abayomi Ogunjimi, who is the president of the body said that it is part of the few ways ANFSC can contribute to the ongoing fight against the Coronavirus pandemic which has rendered several sectors useless especially football. The pandemic is responsible for the suspension of major leagues in the world including that of Nigeria.
Abayomi further explained and confirmed that the gesture is being sponsored by Philanthropist, Mr Rotimi Ajanaku, the Olori Odo Of Oodua Land, a House of Representatives candidate in Oyo State in the last General elections. Rotimi Ajanaku is also the Chairman of Dino Hotels Nationwide
The nose mask as said is for registered sports writers and registered members of the ANFSC. All members of the Authentic Nigerian Football Supporters Club, as well as registered sports Journalists nationwide, can pick up their facemasks at the body’s Headquarters at Ogunlana Drive, Surulere Lagos on a convenient Thursday starting from 2 pm.
The fast-growing supporters club is now recognized among football ruling bodies across the world as they are the major supporters of the Nigerian teams in recent competitions
