The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC), played the 12th man role as the Flying Eagles of Nigeria recorded a hard fought 1-0 win against hosts Egypt in their second group game at the ongoing 2023 Africa Under 20 Cup of Nations.
The Seven time African Champions who lost 1-0 to Senegal in their first game, needed a victory to bounce back into reckoning, though it didn’t come easy, but the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club played a pivotal role as the Ladan Bosso boys garnered all maximum points.
Prior to the encounter, the National President of ANFASSC, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi had rallied support for the Flying Eagles.
Members of ANFASSC who traveled from Nigeria and those in Egypt however made their way to the Cairo International Stadium to support the Flying Eagles.
With a victory against the hosts today, the ANFASSC Supremo, Prince Ogunjimi has now assured that his team will also be on ground when the Flying Eagles take on Mozambique in their third group game.
He said “We knew we needed to play our role, thankfully, the boys bounced back, now we are giving our words that we will be will them all through the tournament”
Prince Ogunjimi noted that the boys would no longer lack support as the tournament progresses
