Iwuala, who joined Al Arabi from Tunisian powerhouse Esperance, has swiftly become a pivotal figure for his new team.
The former Enyimba winger opened the scoring just after the hour mark against Al Qadsia, securing his third goal in as many matches this season and extending his impressive goal-scoring streak.
His run of form began in the season opener against Kazma, where he found the back of the net to launch Al Arabi’s campaign on a positive note. He followed up with another crucial goal in a thrilling 3-2 victory over Al-Tadamon in the second week of the season.
Iwuala’s current performances are a continuation of the momentum he built from last season, where he delivered key goals against Al-Jahra and Al-Nasr. His consistency in front of goal has been instrumental in Al Arabi’s perfect start, enabling them to establish a three-point lead at the top of the table.
With Al Arabi riding high, Al-Kuwait trails in second place, three points behind. Meanwhile, Al Qadsia’s defeat has seen them drop to seventh position, having collected only three points from their opening matches.
