In a post-match interview with Sports 247, Moses shared her thoughts on the game and the team’s aspirations for the future.
Farikike Moses, a key player for Dannaz Ladies, shared her elation at making a significant impact in the match. She recounted her coach’s instructions to make a difference upon entering the game, emphasizing the importance of team success over individual glory.
“I feel very happy because before I entered the game, my coach told me one thing, if you enter the game make sure you make the difference. We are 0-0 and we need to win this match. So I was like, if you come in, you need to make the difference”.
Moses highlighted her decision to provide an assist to teammate Delight Isaac, recognizing Isaac’s skill and strength to capitalize on the opportunity.
“When I had the ball, the first thought that came to mind was I must not be the one to score. An assist for me is okay today.
As soon as I saw Delight Isaac, I just said, I know she has the skill, she has the strength to finish what I cannot finish. So I just gave her and she did the magic for us.”
Her selfless play contributed to the Dannaz Ladies’ commanding victory.
Reflecting on the team’s season performance, Moses expressed satisfaction with their achievement of avoiding relegation in their first season in the Premier League.
Despite initially aiming for a spot in the Super 6, the Dannaz Ladies’ resilience and determination enabled them to secure their position in the league.
Moses conveyed the team’s optimism for the future, emphasizing their commitment to come back stronger and achieve greater success in the upcoming season.
