The president of Nigeria Amputee Football Federation (NAFF), Suleiman Isah has declared that the country’s national team, Special Eagles need more financial support for them to participate in this year’s World Cup.
Despite confirming a huge cash donation from the Super Eagles and a number of sports personalities, Isah told sports247.ng that more still needs to be done to ensure the team makes it to Mexico 2018.
He called for more assistance that will enable them have the necessary support, as N6.5m donated to them by the Eagles can only buy air tickets.
“We are happy for what we have got, especially from the Super Eagles and NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, but we still need more.
“We are still looking for more money that would help us to be able to pay for accommodation of our officials at the World Cup in Mexico.”
