The match against Team Niger was challenging, but Coach Amos had confidence in his team’s abilities despite their less-than-ideal performance.

He noted that his team didn’t execute their strategies as well as expected but was grateful for the victory nonetheless.

“From the beginning, I knew we could beat them. I knew my girls were better, but my girls didn’t execute well. I don’t know, they were playing weakly, But I thank God that we won at the end of the day,” he told Sports 247.

Looking ahead to the final against Lagos State, Coach Amos expressed optimism. “Against Lagos, I know that if they do their best, they’ll beat Lagos, so I am hopeful that we’ll come out victorious in that one as well.”

Delta State had previously defeated Lagos at the Southern Cup finals, but Lagos won their encounter in the first game of the current competition. Coach Amos believes that his team is well-prepared to win with the necessary corrections.

Coach Amos also expressed his gratitude to everyone who has supported Team Delta, including the state government and the organizers, Milo.

He emphasized the importance of such tournaments for the players, stating that these opportunities allow the athletes to showcase their skills and enjoy the sport.

As Team Delta gears up for the final, Coach Amos and his players are focused on delivering a strong performance and bringing home the championship title.
