Amokachi appreciates Sports Minister for his kind gesture

The last mothers day was filled with joy for the mothers of Nigeria’s fallen heroes as the minister of youth and sports Sunday Dare extended his magnanimity towards the mothers of Rashidi Yekini, Sunday Bada and that of Samuel Okwaraji as sports247 reported.

The sports minister gave a gift of 50 thousand naira each alongside some foodstuff. The move by the sports ministry which got a pass mark is the placing of the mothers on a monthly salary. One man who is very pleased to hear this is former Super Eagles attacker, Daniel Amokachi.

Amokachi expressed his satisfaction on his verified Instagram as he paid a visit to the minister, thanking him and raining praises on the sports minister for making this happen.

During the celebration of the last mothers day late Rashidi Yekini’s mother, Alhaja Sikiratu Yekini clamoured on how she has been forgotten and abandoned by everyone including the leaders of sports since the death of her son but highly appreciated the minister for reaching out. For this, Amokachi is happy because the sports minister has worked towards filling the void.

In his words “how wonderful meeting with the honourable minister of youth and sports, thanking him for reaching out to the families of our colleagues who we lost and encouraging him to do more.

“The families have been put on monthly salaries in partnership with the NFF” Amokachi concluded.
