Lagos state Governor his excellency Akinwunmi Ambode has appointed seasoned corporate sports administrator Mr Onome Obruthe as chairman of the Lagos State Badminton Association on a four year term.
The letter signed by chairman Lagos state sports committee Dr Kweku Tandor and dated October 16, 2018 states that the appointment is with immediate effect.
The letter reads in part. “Your appointment is as a result of your passionate interest and past contributions to sports development in the state.”
Mr Obruthe who is the managing director of Corporate Soccer Nigeria, the body responsible for the organisation of football championships for corporate organizations in the country revealed to Sport247 that he has accepted the position and is willing to give his best to the development of Badminton in the state.
