In an exclusive interview with Sports247.ng, Coach Olujide Olushola, the astute Manager of FC Robo shared his insightful opinions about the recently concluded match against Allifey FC which ended in a deadlock with both teams scoring 2 goals each.
Coach Olushola revealed that his players were under immense pressure, having lost two consecutive matches after their first game.
He stressed that the team was determined to secure at least one point from the game, which they accomplished.
Per Olushola, “We simply had to ensure we secured a point, and our players put their hearts and souls into accomplishing that.”
According to the Coach, Allifey FC boasted of exceptional players, including some of his former players from last season, well-versed in the inner workings of FC Robo. He acknowledged that most of his current players were relatively new, with just 3 – 4 months of experience. Nevertheless, he remained optimistic, citing the incredible growth evidenced by his former players now on the opposing team, stating that it was a clear indication of FC Robo’s impressive ability to create and nurture top-notch players. “It suggests we are producing exceptional players, and that is never a bad thing.”
In his concluding words, Coach Olushola confidently expressed faith in his team, reaffirming his belief that they would triumph in all their forthcoming matches, undoubtedly setting a shining example of professionalism and dedication to the sport.
