Sports247.ng learnt that England’s Metropolitan Police have released an image of a man they suspect of assaulting Alli during Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in the Carabao Cup in December.
Alli was struck on the side of the head in the 73rd minute of the quarter-final clash by the plastic bottle thrown from the crowd, and officers got into the hunt for the assailant immediately.
The police disclosed further that they have been working with Arsenal to identify the suspect, but no arrests have been made and they are now appealing to the public for information.
