Defending champions, Samjason Football Club failed to record a home win following their barren draw recorded against visiting team, Kedge Sports in a rescheduled week four of Alimosho Football Coaches Council League.
The pulsating match was held on Monday at the Egan football pitch. Although both teams lived up to expectations in terms of their performances as several scoring were missed by both sides which ended the high tension soaked match in a barren draw.
Prior to the match, Samjason recorded a 1-0 away victory against Layenda and their home match against Kedge Sports failed to produce goals.
Speaking with our correspondent, Kedge Sports coach, Noah Omotunde said they drew their opponents because his players played to his instructions and commended both teams for their tactical display.
“It was a good match for us because we came to Samjason’s home to pick a draw which was a good result. I commend my players for their doggedness and spirit of sportsmanship exhibited throughout the encounter. We would go back home and prepare for our next away match against Flying Wings,” he said.
Action resumes today in week six of the league when ECAS would welcome Kotech this evening at Awori Grammar School, Agboju, Lagos.
Two matches would hold on Friday as defending champions, would be at home against Bucknor FC, while H2U FC face Flying Wings at Alade sports complex, Ipaja Command, Lagos.
