Bucknor Football Club would have their hands full when they confront Kotech Football Club on Thursday in week 17 of Alimosho Football Coaches Council League.
Bucknor would be at home this week and they are tipped to win their opponents. Bucknor who just resumed the New Year holiday needs to work hard if they want to maintain their unbeaten home record.
A draw or defeat to the home team would give them a temporary setback on the table. While a victory to Kotech would be upset as the league is in a crucial stage for all the participating teams.
Bucknor team manager, Adebowale Habeeb Abidemi in a chat with our correspondent said they would not underrate their opponents and urged his players to go all out for victory against their opponents.
“We don’t want to lose our home game because we want to win our remaining home matches and try to win at least two or three away matches. We are targeting the title and we are among the teams competing for the trophy. Our players know what is at stake and they would do everything possible to clinch the three-point at stake,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kedge Sports on Tuesday morning defeated NISSI 2-1 in week 17 as ECAS welcome Newtown G on Wednesday. On Friday, defending champions, Samjason host Leyenda, while Iyaloja General United would be at home against Flying Wings.
