Executive members of Alimosho Football Coaches Council, AFCC on Tuesday have promised to raise substantial amount of money to the family of Late Ifeanyi Ikpo Moses at the fundraising/novelty match sheduled to hold on Saturday at Jimoh Ajao football pitch, Igando.
The former Leader of Alimosho Football Coaches Council, Ikpo Moses died last year and the council has decided to raise funds for his family by organising fundraising/novel match which holds this Saturday starting from 9am till 2pm.
Speaking with Journalists in Lagos, vice leader of Alimosho Football Coaches Council, Solomon Odeh said there is need for the council to raise funds for the deceased family and assured that the council would raise substantial amount of money that would take care of the family left behind.
“We are expecting important dignitaries that would assist us at the fundraising. We are committed and decided to give the the late family necessary support in area of finance. Late Ikpo Moses is lovely brother who had done well in uplifting the council when he was alive. We are going to miss him for the good works and generosity. May His soul continue to rest in peace, “he said.
Chairman planning committee, Toyin Soyemi described the late leader a role model to him who had contributed immensely to football development in Alimosho and Lagos at large and prayed for the late family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
while secretary of the council, Mohammed Aberejo admitted that the council would miss the late leader for his commitment, loyalty and dedication to the Alimosho football coaches vowed that the council would do everything humanly possible to raise substantial amount of money to the family left behind.
“It is our leader and we need to pay our last respect to him and that is why we are coming up with the fundraising/novelty match on Saturday.I will miss my leader for his humility and commitment, said Aberejo who almost shed tears while speaking with Journalists.
In his own remarks, Coach, Samuel Uchenna Eke described his leader an hardworking coach and a person who is ready to proffer solution to the problems brought to him.
He said the council is still in shock over his suddenly death of their leader but insisted that the council would continue to support the deceased family when the need arises.
Also speaking Public Relation Officer of the council,Akeem Aro said late leader is a brother to him and desribed him a faithful leader who carries everybody along when he was alive.
While coach Alfred Umoke and Daramola Olaoluwa said their late leader has left a good legacy for the council and prayed that God should uphold the family left behind.
