Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi, Chairman of the Ogun State Football Association and NFF Executive Committee member, has offered his perspective on the Super Eagles’ 2-1 loss to Ivory Coast in the AFCON final.

Reflecting on the match, Majekodunmi emphasized the importance of witnessing the players’ performance firsthand, urging spectators to appreciate their dedication and resilience on the field.
According to him, “You need to be at the stadium on that day of the AFCON final, for you to know how to appreciate our players. I really felt so good when the President Bola Tinubu awarded them that award and also other things that were given to them.”
“I want to say that president, you are one someone that will make our sport grow beyond level. This motivation will move other sportsmen and women representing this country to know that success they achieve will bring them to limelight under this administration.”
