Enyimba attacker Wasiu Alalade has declared that the Aba based side have what it takes to overturn the 1-0 first leg deficit when they face Raja Casablanca in the CAF Confederation Cup semi final on Wednesday.
The former ABS FC forward also identified the weakness of the opposition, which the People’s Elephants intend to exploit in the second leg match at the Stade Mohamed V.
“History tells us that whenever Enyimba go into a game with the mentality to defend we normally lose the game,” Alalade remarked to Sports247.ng. “But, when we go and put our first foot forward we know what Enyimba are capable of.
It will also be very interesting to see what Enyimba will do in Casablanca. For them to score more than two goals they will have to come out and put a lot of pressure.
Alalade stated in a chat with Sports247.ng: “Their defenders are all very quick. They have weaknesses too, so it will be a very interesting contest. Our target is to exploit their weak points and get an early goal.
“We are not going there to defend. We are going there to play our game. It will be nice to win the second leg convincingly because that will really stamp our authority and gain respect for not only Enyimba, but for Nigerian football in general.
“I can tell you now that the coach, players and the whole technical staff are ready to make things happen. I trust the ammunition that the team has,” he concluded.
Kickoff at the Stade Mohamed V is 7pm tonight.
