The draw for the 2024/2025 Akwa Ibom State President Federation Cup took place on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the conference room of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

During the event, the Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Football Association (FA), Mr. Samuel Umoh, reiterated the association’s dedication to organizing a competitive and transparent tournament. In his remarks, he stated:
“The Akwa Ibom State Football Association is determined to host an exciting competition this year—one filled with surprises and the thrill of the FA Cup. On behalf of the FA, I assure you that we will be fair and firm throughout the tournament. Our goal is to rebuild trust and reignite the passion of fans with the excitement this competition deserves.”
The Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Referees Council, Elder Joseph Bassey, commended the FA’s efforts and pledged the referees’ full support, saying: “We will continue to support and collaborate with the FA to ensure a successful tournament.”
Similarly, the Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Comrade Emmanuel Akpan, guaranteed extensive media coverage of the event. “We will promote this tournament from start to finish,” he assured.

The tournament will follow a knockout format. In the male category, the quarter-finals kick off the competition, followed by the semi-finals, and concluding with the final on February 23, 2025.
