With the Niger Delta Sports Festival Trials fast approaching, the Akwa Ibom State Liaison Committee has intensified efforts to ensure a smooth screening and elimination process, set to begin on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Chaired by the Commissioner for Sports, Elder Paul Bassey, the committee held a crucial meeting to finalize arrangements, emphasizing strict adherence to selection rules.

He further underscored the importance of working closely with the Main Organizing Committee (MOC) to deliver a well-hosted festival.
“Our Governor has tasked us with assembling a strong contingent. We must collaborate with the MOC to ensure Akwa Ibomites take pride in our athletes and the overall hosting of the event.”
