Akumazi United FC has released a 26 man squad for squad first Edition of Ika Grassroots Football League set to kick off on Sunday 29th August at various centers across Ika Region of Delta State.
Manager Chris Emmanuel revealed the list ahead of the Deadline of Registration fixed for Thursday 26th with Notable players like Isuwe Chibuzor, Nwanni Sunday, Prince Godwin and Okolie Emmanuel.
“We have about 15 U16 Players in the squad, we want to use this League to build on our young players and as such we are looking at only players based at Akumazi to play this league” Coach Chris stated.
10 teams will be taking part in the inaugural edition and on Sunday 29th Akumazi FC will play host to Winners FC from Agbor Obi for the curtain Raiser at Akumazi Primary School.
Over at Gbenoba Grammar School, Green Rangers FC Agbor will host Unity Stars FC from Ewuru.
On Monday 30th KG Sports Academy will travel to Owa Alero to face Divine Academy while Ika Lions Agbor will host Emelem United FC of Umunede.
The final Week 1 Fixture will see Galilee Ute Ogbeje host Rainbow FC .
