Sports247 reports that Sevilla, who also have Chidera Ejuke in their squad, enter this weekend’s fixture away to Real Betis standing 10th in the Spanish top-flight and Akor says he wants to help them climb higher on the log this sesson before thinking of achieving his personal targets next year.

Rather than think of making instant waves where fellow-Nigerian forward, Kelechi Iheanacho failed to shine and quickly ran off back to England on loan at Middlesborough, Akor says his aspirations for now are only about helping the team yo improve their collective fortune.

Although he has been beclouded by injuries since arriving from Montepellier of France in January, the former Songdal and Lillestrom of Norway hitman admitted he is eager to stsrt playing regularly and score goals for the team, but stressed that he is not holding any personal thoughts for now.

Akor, who was born in Benue State on January 29, 2000 and played for Jamba Football Academy before moving to Norway in 2018, declared: “My personal targets and what I hope to achieve are not crucial for now. That’s because I am a very big team player, and my job is to score goals as a striker. That is also what helps the team.”

He pointed out that getting more game time under his boots and being able to score for the team should put him in good stead to help Sevilla stabilise this season and he will then seek a bigger impact for himself next season.

“I just want to play games and score goals. For now, that’s what gives me joy … score goals and win games. I will set in my mind about achieving personal targets in the new season. For now, it’s the objective of the club that matters and how we can achieve the team’s targets,” said Adams, who played for the Flying Eagles in 2019.
