Nigerian female basketball national team, D’Tigress star, Evelyn Akhator has turned her attention fully on 2019, as she aims to achieve greater exploits.
Sports247.ng can report that Akhator is still relishing fond memories of a very successful 2018 for self and country, but she is determined that the coming year will be even better.
Consequently, while savouring memories of Nigeria’s eighth place finish at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Spain, Akhator says she is planning better for D’Tigress in 2019.
Akhator, who capped her year with a double award in November, when she was voted best basketball player and the sports woman at the 2018 Nigerian Sports Awards (NSA) in Lagos, said 2019 will be better.
She beamed: “The World Cup changed some settings positively and I’m thankful to God.
“Whatever mistakes made was a lesson for the future. I will leave everything to God and watch things play out next year.
“You must keep setting goals and keep succeeding and by God’s grace we will do more.”
