D’Tigress forward Evelyne Akhator has declared that there is no looking back from here and that the women national basketball team is determined and driven with a resolve to give their all on the court ahead of today’s pre-quarter final clash against Greece.
Akhator speaking in a chat with Sports247.ng said that the D’Tigress are not bothered about their opponents at this point because they simply want to lay down a legacy at the ongoing FIBA Women World Cup in Spain.
“Determination, discipline and dedication are the keys to our Giant Killing run so far at the World Championship. We have gotten Turkey and Argentina out of the way,” Akhator declared in a chat with Sports24.ng.
“We are on the right path and will be taking each game as it comes. Our next game will be tough and tricky. Like other games that we have won, there won’t be any cause for alarm. We are ready.”
“We aren’t afraid of any team irrespective of their pedigree. Everything will be decided at the Basketball court. I don’t like to discuss about the opposition but my team. We are ready and focused ahead of our game with Greece. Our target is to lay down a lasting legacy in this tournament,” the sharpshooter concluded.
