According to the Media Director, Moses Ojewunmi who says Gateway United FC is aiming for her first victory in the 2018/2019 NNL season, having played a goalless draw against Ekiti United at home and Dynamite Force FC in Edo respectively.
The Ogun State side are placed third in Group B3 with two points and a win on Wednesday May 1st, 2019 will make them leapfrog Nnewi United FC on second position with 3 points and possibly the table topper Dynamite Force with 4 points.
“Total victory is our target. We need the match and we have to go into the game with a good frame of mind and also not to put the players under intense pressure. It’s a marathon week for us. After tomorrow’s match, we are heading to Calabar to face Rovers FC with the hope of securing away points”
He said the FA cup final loss on Sunday would rather spur his players to return to winning ways in the league.
“We ve put the FA Cup final loss behind us. We know the significance of the match day three and we will give it our best. Our first home draw was a blip and Nnewi United clash presents another opportunity to get our promotion quest back on track”
The game holds at the MKO Abiola International stadium, Abeokuta on Wednesday by 4pm.
