Former youth international, Rasheedat Ajibade has described her invitation to the senior female squad, Super Falcons as a dream come true and admits she is relishing the opportunity of being in the national camp.
As preparations continue at the Falcons’ camp in Epe, Lagos, ahead of the Africa Women Cup of Nations, Ajibade said she is happy to be among the lasses and promised to put in her best when called upon.
The FC Robo lass said he target now is to make the final squad to AWCON 2019 in Ghana, but admitted she will have to work really hard in training with the squad in order to achieve the big leap.
This, she acknowledged, would be a massive step forward for her, as she was earlier this year in the youth squad, Falconets that starred at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France.
Ajibade is now hoping to follow in the footsteps of her former club mate at FC Robo, Asisat Oshoala, in making Nigerians proud with successful outings for the Falcons.
She also promised to give her best if she gets an opportunity to play in Ghana and hopes she will be able to help the Falcons return home with the trophy again.
Ajibade added: “If I am given the opportunity to perform I will always play my heart out, because I see it as a dream come true for me.
“Every opportunity I am given to represent my country be it in Africa or at the World stage, I will always give it my best. So, whatever opportunity I get I will always play my heart out.”
