Former Nigerian U17 star Akinkunmi Amoo scored his first Swedish Allsvenskan goal for Hammarby IF in their 2-0 win over Mjällby AIF on Saturday, reports Sports247.
The highly-rated youngster opened the scoring in first-half added time with a decent strike after being set up nicely by Mohanad Jeahze.
Gustav Ludwigson added Hammarby’s second in the 76th minute of the game.
Amoo, 18, signed for Hammarby in 2020 after participating at the U17 World Cup with Nigeria a year before.
He featured in all of Nigeria’s games as the Golden Eaglets exited at the round of 16 stages.
The left-footed winger is growing in importance at Hammarby this season having scored 5 goals in all competitions, 4 of which are from the Swedish Cup.
According to reports from Sweden, Ajax, Leicester City, Borussia Dortmund and a list of other top European clubs are showing interest in Amoo.
His current contract at Hammarby runs until 2024.
