LA Planet Sport Academia wins the third trophy in the history of the academy following a 1-0 victory over Harmony FC at the Kwara State Stadium on Saturday.
Harmony FC started the game like a house on fire and was also brilliant in neutralizing the flow of the team.
Their resilience and high-pressure approach towards the game made it difficult for the boys to keep their composure.
However, despite the inability of the team to get into the game, Ajao Afeez was impressive with his dribbles and movement which Harmony FC failed to cope with.
The dazzling midfielder broke the deadlock in the 28th minute after Abiodun Oladele placed him on goal following a counter-attack he started deep inside his half.
While receiving the ball from Oladele inside the box, Ajao kept his composure and rounded the goalkeeper before slotting the ball into the left bottom corner.
The boys started the second period better than the first and almost got the second when Abiodun Oladele finds the back of the net before he was flagged offside.
Minutes later, Bolaji Bashir and Nathaniel Charles forced the goalkeeper to make amazing saves with an acrobatic effort inside the box.
In the last minute of the game, Ajao Afeez was placed in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper but he fired over the crossbar.
Harmony tried to find their way back into the game but the lads held on to the victory and win the first trophy of the year following a disastrous defeat at the hands of Shooting Stars.
