The team manager of Smart City FC, Alhaji Kamaldeen Olawoye, has said that smart city players are in high spirits ahead of their crucial Aiteo cup battle against Kano Pillars tomorrow, Wednesday in Lokoja.
Olawoye made this declaration know to the public, saying, the players are highly motivated and are roaring to deliver the goods.
“I want to say with total confidence, that the players are well motivated by our chairman and they are in very good shape and ready to deliver tomorrow against Pillars,” he said.
“We are all happy because all the players are fit and ready, we don’t have any injury concerns, we tasted the pitch in our training session and everything was palatable” he added.
“We know it’s going to be a very crunch match because we are playing against one of the best teams in the country, but we are not afraid of any team, because football has no respect for anyone, we are here for a purpose and by the grace of God, we will go back to Lagos victorious” he concluded.
Meanwhile, superbly gifted and experienced midfielder, Taro Seun, is also on the same page with his team manager, saying they are in Lokoja for victory and they will work hard to get it.
“We will get a victory from this game against Pillars because when you are not afraid to face any challenge, you always come victorious,” he said.
“We have a crop of young and talented players in this team and everyone is hungry to deliver, so with this kind of mentality and motivation, I am heavily optimistic we will come out victorious in this game by the special grace of God” he added.
Smart City will tomorrow in Lokoja, trade tackles with Kano Pillars in the Aiteo cup by 10 am in the morning.
