Current Aiteo/Federation cup holders, Kano Pillars FC has received a positive report from the Nigeria Football Federation as regards to the payment of their 2019 Aiteo cup winning entitlement.
The report said that plans are underway and the Nigeria Football Federation would settle the club soonest for the Aiteo/Federation cup they won two months ago.
According to the Media officer of the club, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, the information reaching the Nigeria Giants is that, the Federation would released the said money to the Sai Masu Gida any moment from now.
Malikawa further explained that from the recent information the club got, delayed in the payment of the prize money is not intentional but due to some issues beyond the Federation’s control.
“With this, we are commending the Aiteo Group for sponsoring the competition and hope they will not relent on their efforts in moving Football forward in the country, Malikawa said.
It could be recalled that the four-time NPFL Champions had released a statement on Monday asking the Nigeria Football Federation to do everything within their power to pay them their entitlement.
The Nigeria Football Federation had signed a 5-year sponsorship deal with Aiteo Group in 2017 for the naming right of country’s oldest trophy.
