The Chief Executive Officer Delta Queens FC, Henrrientta Ehiabor, and The General Manager of the team, Martha Ihediora have hailed the Technical crew and Players of Delta Queens FC on the team’s performance so far in this year’s edition of the AITEO Cup.
In a chat with Delta Queens Media, the two executives commended the Delta Queens Player for the two domineering victories recorded so far adding however that it was not yet time to celebrate as the battle just started.
” It is quite very interesting that the players can now come all out for goals. we thank God for the victories but for sure the race just started ” The Chief executive officer said.
The General manager’s views were on the same track when she added that :
“The girls have been great so far but we have constantly drummed it on them that they need even greater concentration as the competition progresses”
They appreciated the coach Alabi Kazeem led technical crew noting that like Oliver twist, the club will always demand more.
They also thanked the Tonobok Okowa led Delta State Sports Commission for consistent support for the side.
It would be recalled that Delta Queens FC on matchday one had demolished Kada Queens 9-0 at Ilorin before crowning it with a 5-0 win over Heartland Queens at Makurdi.
Delta Queens will now face their South-South rivals Bayelsa Queens at Abuja on Monday, July 12 on Matchday three after the Bayelsa side thrashed Pelican Stars 3-0.
The last time the two sides met in the AITEO cup, it was the Delta team that had the upper hand, coming from behind to level scores 1-1 on regular time and winning through a tension-soaked Penalty shoot that saw Skipper Ihuoma Onuegbu standing tall as usual with saves.
