Bayelsa Queens FC of Yenagoa will intensify its preparation ahead of the Female Aiteo Cup by engaging Edo Queens in a friendly match on Saturday at the Samson Ogbemudia stadium, Benin City.
The Gloryland Girls will also take on Sunshine Queens of Akure in another match on Sunday morning at the same venue in Benin City to round off the tour of Edo State.
The Gloryland Girls had a not too impressive outing at the Super 6 in Ijebu-Ode where they finished fifth with one win, two draws, and two losses defeated Imo Angeles 10-0, and CAF Women Champions League representative Rivers Angeles 3-1 in friendly matches played in Yenagoa.
The Chairman of Bayelsa Queens Management Board Robin Apreala while speaking with newsmen in Yenagoa as the team finalizes their preparation for the Edo trip thanked the Governor His Excellence Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewruhjakpo for the massive support given to the team.
Bayelsa Queens are drawn to play Pelicans Stars of Calabar in the opening round of the Female Aiteo Cup in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state.
