The Management of Ahmadu Bello Stadium is prepared to contribute its quota in ensuring the reduction in spread of the coronavirus.
Zonal Coordinator, Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, North West Zone, Alhaji Abdullahi Idris expressed this when interviewed on phone by our correspondent in Kaduna on Sunday.
According to him, the spread of the virus must be frustrated in every possible way, hence the Federal Government announced the use of its stadia across the country, as well as other assets as isolation centres.
“We are once again reminding those that have offices within the stadium premises to stay away while the coronavirus pandemic lasts.
Speaking further, he also commended other North West Governors for efforts made so far in preventing COVID-19 from entering their states.
“To all Nigerians, we urge you to keep staying healthy by exercising in your various houses. Please, at trying moments like this; which is associated with a sedentary life, it is advisable to be cautious with nutritional diseases that lead to obesity that are risk factors to cancer, diabetes, and other heart illnesses that are associated with lifestyles i.e smoking, drugs, drinking,” he advised.
He also called on all to pray ceaselessly for the total eradication of the deadly disease COVID-19 by the Supreme Being.
