Ahlan Cup crew visited the Nigerian Correctional Services to give inmates a special treat on Wednesday.
They also donated Hand Sanitizers, Face Masks, Soap and gifts which can be used to make them safe during the Covid-19 Pendamic which has rocked the world at large.
The donation of gifts was made possible by Sponsor of Ahlan Cup, Alhaji Sheriff Inuwa, NFF Referees Committee Chairman.
Idris Malikawa and Suleiman Usara are some of the Ahlan Cup crew who visited the Nigeria Correctional Services in Kano.
Malikawa said: “It’s nice to put a smile on their faces when they are having a bit of a tough time. We were able to donate Face Masks, Hand Sanitizers and Soap.
“It is something that we can give back.
“The afternoon went really well and we were able to leave some presents for the inmates.”
An official of the Correctional Services, said: “We are very grateful for the gifts which we know will be very welcomed by the inmates.”
Meanwhile, the Ahlan Cup crew continued their good works by sensitizing the Public on the need to stay at home and not engage in any activities.
Speaking on Radio Kano today, top Nigerian coaches Yusuf Salisu and Abdu Maikaba educated people not to play football during the lockdown period.
They appealed to stakeholders, coaches, footballers, fans and well wishers to stay safe as the World battle to conquer the dreaded CoronaVirus.
Ahlan Cup is regarded as the best pre season tournament in Nigeria because of the world class innovations put in place by the Organizers. The fifth edition of the tourney will take place in Kano this year.
