All eyes will be on Naziru Auwalu once again as one of the best players of the Ahlan Cup 2019 to deliver when Rarara FC take on Elkanemi Warriors in the semi final at the Kano Pillars Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. Kickoff is at 4pm.
The forward has his team relying on him, with many tipping him to lead Rarara to glory.
Elkanemi Warriors are once again among the favourites to lift the Ahlan Cup 2019, but the pressure is on for Baba Ganaru’s side to navigate past the young Rarara team.
Blessed with attacking talent, but with questions marks remaining over their defensive capabilities, Elkanemi Warriors’ biggest test could be finding a way to play to their strengths against a Rarara side tipped to surprise at the tournament.
These two teams last met on Sunday, when a solitary strike from Tijani Adamu was enough to hand Warriors a 1-0 win at the Kano Pillars Stadium.
Rarara head into the match confident having recorded victory against Kwara United in one of the quarter finals fixtures, but they remain big underdogs against one of the favourites, and the challenge of finding a way to stop Warriors will be a tough one.
Bello Musa Kofarmata will be trusted to score the goals for the Desert Warriors, who have the ability to change formation seemingly at will under Baba Ganaru to provide another test for Rarara in Kano.
