Permanent Secretary of the Lagos Health Service Commission, Dr Ademuyiwa Eniayewun has predicted a good outing for his commission ahead of the Lagos HOS Cup.

Eniayewun disclosed this at the closing ceremony of the Heath Service Commission inter-hospital football tournament held on Tuesday afternoon at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena formally known as Onikan Stadium
While chatting with sports247.ng, the permanent secretary said what he saw at the just concluded HSC Inter hospital football tournament was a clear indication that the commission would have a good outing in the HOS Cup.

“This tournament is part of our preparation for the HOS Cup but what I saw in the final showed that we are not only ready, we have what it takes to win this year’s HOS Cup,” he said.
Commenting on the just concluded finals, he commended both teams for their impressive performance and congratulated the General Hospital Lagos football team for winning the inaugural edition.
Speaking in the same vein, deputy director, Mrs Adebayo Tukur expressed gratitude to God for the success of the competition and particularly thanked Sr Eniayewun for his commitment to the Competition saying that it is during his own time the commission witnessed such Competition which brought all the civil servants together under the Heath Service Commission.
She also boasted that the commission is ready for the HOS Cup saying that the players and fully ready to crush any team that comes their way in the opening match.
“Presently our teams in the male and female category are in high spirits and they are ready to take their opponents to the cleaners. We are not coming to the HOS Cup to make numbers but we want to win it for the first time.
With the caliber of players in the team and coaching crew led by Benson Edema, we are good to go, “she concluded.
Meanwhile, Ali Odunuga’s goal in the 89th minute was General Hospital Lagos football team needed to defeat Mainland General Hospital football team 2-1 to emerge as champions.
The pulsating encounter which started with a lot of expectations saw Mainland Hospital open the goal scoring through Ahmed Liasu in the early game.
The goal spurred players of General Hospital Lagos to increase the tempo of the game and their effort was rewarded when Jubril Ayoade equalized for his team to send their fans into wild jubilation in the 6th minute.
General Hospital Lagos was better in the second half as Odunuga’s late strike gave his team a hard-fought victory over their opponents.
In the female final played earlier, ABAT/Ajeromi General Hospital defeated Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital 2-0 to emerge as champions.
