Vitoria Setubal of Portugal midfielder, Mikel Ndubuisi Agu has stated that he is enjoying his second spell with the club, and sports247.ng can report that he is not keen on any transfer for now.
Amidst speculation that he could be on his way out of the mid-class Portuguese side in the January transfer window, Agu said he is happy with his situation for now.
The 25-year-old Agu, who has played in seven matches since returning to Setubal on transfer deadline day, has averaged a rating of 6.78 per game, completed 76% passes, has 100% in dribbles and 73% tackles.
Agu, who has gained a recall to the Super Eagles for next weekend’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa, admitted he would have loved to stay at his parent club, FC Porto, but said further that he is not letting the matter bother him.
On the other hand, Agu, who spent last season on loan at Bursaspor of Turkey, said he will continue tol make the best of his days at Setubal and see out the whole season with them.
Agu retorted: “When I left Turkey, there where different stories of where I would play my football, but now I’m in Setubal and enjoying my football again.
“I’m happy here and want to focus on the game itself and not the other part of it. So Setubal remains my focus for now.”
