Super Eagles goalkeepers’ trainer, Alloy Agu has described the goalless draw in Tuesday’s international friendly match between the team and The Cranes of Uganda as a satisfactory result.
In a chat with sports247.ng after the match at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Agu expressed satisfaction with the result, as he pointed out that it was basically an opportunity for other players to be tested.
Agu also hailed Nigeria’s goalkeeper on the night, Chippa United of South Africa star, Daniel Akpeyi for keeping a clean sheet.
Agu stressed: “It was a satisfactory game, by all means, because of the nature of the line-up we had for the day.
“We actually wanted a win, but we got a draw, which was not a bad result, judging by the way the Ugandans played.
“Remember too that they have already qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations, just like us, and they did well in the AFCON qualifiers.”
