Agali Commends Eletu Boys Performance

Former Super Eagles player, Victor Agali has showered praises on Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club after playing 2-2 with AS Racine’s Football Club in a friendly match played recently in Badagry, Lagos.

Agali who is the head of the coaching crew of the NLO team described the Eletu club as a well-organized club saying that their friendly match against them brought the best out of his players.

“It was not only a good match but one of the toughest matches we played recently on our home ground. I am particularly happy that we did not lose to our opponents but ended in a stalemate.

I want to commend the management of Eletu and the coaching crew for giving the young players the opportunity to showcase their talents. I am looking forward to playing them in the nearest future,” he said.

Agali who also doubles as the club boss said both teams played tactical football and commended his team for coming back to deny their opponents outright victory.

“Like I said Eletu players have the fighting spirit. We were leading them but before I knew it they scored two goals I also want to commend my players for coming back and ending the encounter in a draw. It was a friendly match that brought the best out of the coaching crew and players of both teams,” he said.

In his own comment, Eletu coach, Oluwadamilare Idowu said it was a good start for the club in the new season and praised his players for their doggedness exhibited throughout the pulsating tie.

While Eletu team manager, Muftau Eletu also praised the players for their good performance boasting that the club would be better in the subsequent friendly matches.

Effiong Idoreyin opened the goal scoring for the home team before Olufowobi Abel quickly canceled the goal deficit in the 32 minutes for Eletu.

In the second half, the Eletu boys were better as they controlled the game. Their effort was rewarded when Sulaiman Lawal fired a shot from a distance as AS Racines keeper failed to prevent the ball from going into the net.

The second goal scored by Lawal spurred the home team to raise their game. Gideon Eke got the equalizer for AS Racines at close range in the 60th minute to end the game in a stalemate.
