As excitement builds for the clash between Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin and Rangers International of Enugu, Afrinvest West Africa has pledged a substantial prize of N2.5 million to the victorious team.
The highly anticipated match is set to take place on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Edo State, forming part of Match Day 17 in the Nigeria Premier Football League with kickoff at 4 pm.

Emphasizing the importance of supporting youth development, Ike Chioke, the Group Managing Director of Afrinvest West Africa, reiterated the company’s commitment to assisting young individuals in achieving their aspirations.
Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, founder of Afrinvest and the official jersey sponsor of Rangers, is actively rallying support for the Bendel Insurance club. His dedication to sports development and youth empowerment has garnered praise from sports analysts.
Chioke disclosed that the winning team will receive a generous N2.5 million from Afrinvest, while the losing team will be rewarded with N500,000.
In the event of a draw, each team will be granted N1 million. These prizes will be deposited into the Optimus by Afrinvest personal accounts of the players and club officials.
Optimus by Afrinvest, launched in October 2022, is a comprehensive financial technology solution that integrates banking, wealth management, and brokerage services into a single platform.

Governor Obaseki encouraged sports enthusiasts to rally behind Insurance at the tournament, with free bus services provided by the Edo City Transport Service to enhance attendance.
Chief of Staff, Osaigbovo Iyoha, assured the Insurance players of the Governor’s support, expressing confidence that they will bring pride to the state.
