Hon Mustapha Ussif, Ghana’s Minister of Youth and Sports Development said that the Government of Ghana has done an incredible job in putting up facilities and investing in infrastructure for the Games.
He promised that Accra will deliver one of the best ever hosting in the history of the Games.
“The African Games 2023 represent a historic opportunity for Ghana to showcase not only our passion for sports but also our commitment to fostering unity and collaboration across the continent.

The list of host countries also includes Mozambique, which welcomed athletes in 2011, South Africa in 1999, Egypt in 1991, Zimbabwe in 1995, Morocco in 2019, and Kenya in 1987.
