However, he highlighted the team’s resilience and determination to rectify their mistakes, leading to a remarkable comeback with a thrilling 3-wicket triumph over Namibia.
Looking ahead to their crucial fixture against Zimbabwe, Danladi emphasized the need for the team to elevate their performance and apply themselves more diligently on the field.
He stressed the importance of each player giving their best effort and maintaining focus throughout the game.
Danladi expressed, “I think for the first game we played, most of the guys didn’t apply themselves very well in the game, so we’re too casual.
So, after losing the first game, we have to put our best more on the second game so that we can bounce back on the game and to God be the glory we won against Namibia. Going into tomorrow’s game, I guess we just apply ourselves more.”
In a heartfelt plea to fellow Nigerians, Danladi urged for their support and belief in the team’s abilities, emphasizing the significance of their encouragement and prayers in bolstering the team’s morale and determination.
However, despite their best efforts and overwhelming support, Nigeria faced a tough challenge against Zimbabwe in the quarter-final match, ultimately falling short with a narrow 91-88 defeat.
