Former Super Eagles international, Sylvanus Okpala, has expressed satisfaction with the current form of Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen at the ongoing AFCON.
While Osimhen has registered one goal in the tournament, Okpala offered valuable advice to ensure the Napoli talisman maintains his focus and avoids unnecessary pressure.
Impressed with Osimhen’s performance so far, Okpala emphasized the need for the striker to stay away from social media and concentrate on the game.
He urged Osimhen not to succumb to the pressure of scoring goals and emphasized the importance of a relaxed mindset.
Okpala stated, “I am impressed with what he has done so far. I would rather like him not to be going to social media anymore to listen to what people are saying with his phone.
He should just take his phone and drop it somewhere so that he can concentrate.”
The former Super Eagles player emphasized that Osimhen doesn’t need to create unnecessary anxiety for himself.
“Relax and play your game. By the time you manage to get one, just hold on. You get one, you get two. It will come,” Okpala advised.
Concluding his remarks, Okpala expressed satisfaction with Osimhen’s contributions and encouraged him to remain calm while keeping the goal-scoring mindset.
