The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Local Organising Committee (COCAN) are set to introduce the Main Media Centre (MMC) concept during the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Côte d’Ivoire 2023.
This marks the first time such a centre will be implemented in the tournament’s history.

Key Features of the MMC
1. Centralized Approach: The MMC aims to centralize media coverage, providing a dedicated space for journalists, broadcasters, and photographers.
2. Photographers Section: The centre includes a dedicated area with two rows exclusively for photographers, recognizing the significance of visual storytelling in sports journalism.
3. Agencies Space: An exclusive area is designated for media agencies, contributing to a collaborative working environment.
4. Media Café: A catering area ensures a comfortable working environment for media professionals.
5. Press Conferences: All Matchday-1 press conferences for teams, along with other CAF press conferences and media briefings, will take place at the MMC.
6. Broadcast Hub: The MMC serves as the central hub for broadcasting, providing live feeds from all matches to the facility. Even non-approved media for match telecasts can watch matches at MMC.
The MMC is strategically located at Palais de la Culture de Treichville in Abidjan and is set to open its doors on January 10, 2024, three days before the opening match of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Côte d’Ivoire 2023.
The introduction of MMC is aimed at enhancing media services and creating an efficient and collaborative space for the diverse range of media professionals covering the tournament.
