Nigeria’s defender, William Troost Ekong, has lauded the current assembly of players in the Super Eagles, declaring them as the best he has had the privilege to play alongside in the national team.
The Paok Salonika player expressed his sentiments in an interview with the France news outlet AFP, emphasizing the exceptional talent within the team, particularly in the striking department.

William Troost Ekong openly acknowledged the prowess of the present striking force, asserting that the team boasts the best striker in Africa among its ranks.

“In terms of the players we have now, I think it might be the best team I have played in for Nigeria. That is with all due respect to some of the legends that have been there,” William Troost Ekong stated.
The Super Eagles defender highlighted the team’s offensive strength, emphasizing the presence of the best player in Africa wearing the number nine jersey.
