Kamory Doumbia was speaking after being awarded the TotalEnergies Man of the Match award on Saturday evening where he said the team’s overall result was more important than his individual trophy.
“I am proud of this award but It’s not the individual trophies that matter, but we have to win as a team. This was a tough match that really tested us, but we managed to get a result and keep our objective alive” said the hard working midfielder.
Commenting on their final match against Namibia, Doumbia assured that they would play with the same hunger and determination shown against South Africa where they got their first win.
“We are going to try to win. We will play with hunger and determination. We wanted to win the match and got strong moments and then things just didn’t go our way and we couldn’t find the goals. The last match is crucial, and we will give it our best” assured Doumbia.
