AFCON U-17: INUWA HEAP PRAISES ON GOLDEN EAGLETS… CALL FOR MENTORSHIP OF THE BUDDING TALENTS

Chairman, Kano State Football Association and Nigeria lead delegate to the Tanzania U17 AFCON, Alhaji Rabiu Inuwa has poured ecomiums on the magnificent outing of the Golden Eaglets in Tanzania, sports247.ng reports.

 

 

Nigeria Golden Eaglets on Sunday secured the needed three maximum points against the hard fighting Tanzania as they defeated the host by 5-4. Nine goals thriller on the opening day of the tournament. Also on Wednesday (today), Nigeria became the first African country to qualify for the U17 World Cup by beating Angola by a lone goal.

Board member of the NFF and members, Referee Appointment Committee, Alhaji Inuwa said:

“I am delighted and excited by the talents at our disposal. It is clear that Nigeria has an amazing future with the quality of talents who not only exhibit a high degree of work rate but strong mentality and awareness of mind to never give up and fight till the very end” said the Kano State FA boss

Ahlan as he is fondly called, thanked the NFF Leadership and the Federal Government for creating the enabling atmosphere for the unearthing of the talents and called for proper guidance and mentorship, to enable the players develop accordingly and make Nigeria proud even in the older brackets.

Nigeria’s next game will be on Saturday against Uganda even as Alhaji Inuwa will be hoping for more of the same from the lads
