The Nigeria’s National U-23 Captain, Success Makanjuola has assured football loving Nigerians to expect nothing but victory in today’s encounter against Tanzania
The U-23 Men’s team who departed Ibadan for Lagos on Thursday connected through Kenyan Airlines arrived Dar-es-Salaam Friday morning.The team settled down immediately and had a feel of Benjamin Mpaka Stadium, Dar es Salaam where they finalised preparations ahead of the encounter with Tanzania on Saturday (today)
Fielding questions from journalists on wether the late arrival of majority of foreign based players will not affect the team’s performance in today’s encounter, the CD Diocesano midfielder of Spain explained that the late arrival was not unconnected with visa issues and it would not affect the team as they file out against their hosts today.
According to the former Water FC diminutive winger:” All players in camp now are very fit, we are well-motivated and ready to give our all to get the needed victory in Tanzania. We understand that good number of foreign based players had visa issues resuming to camp in Ibadan, but then, Coach Salisu Yusuf-led technical crew had perfected strategies to ensure victory in today’s clash”. The Olympic Eagles who lodged at Tiffany Diamond Hotel in Dar-es-Salaam Metropolis will have their match holding at the Benjamin Mpaka Stadium, Dar-es-Salaam on Saturday 4pm Local time (2pm Nigerian time)
