Ahead of their second 2023 AFCON qualifiers match on Monday, Super Eagles technical adviser, Jose Peseiro had declared the game as must win for the team.
The Super Eagles arrived Morocco today, the adopted home ground of Sao Tome and Principe for the qualifying series.
Peseiro who was talking in the pre-match conference that was held Sunday afternoon said “I take every game seriously.”
“Our aim here (in Agadir) is to win. I take every game seriously and I expect same from my players. The result they (Sao Tome) got against Guinea Bissau doesn’t mean anything. We have to go out and win.”
Nigeria started the campaign with a 2-1 over Sierra Leone last Thursday and in what was Peseiro’s first competitive game under the green and white colours.
Peseiro will be without Troost-Ekong who went off injured in the win against Sierra Leone but has Innocent Bonke back after that knock against Mexico.
Nigeria take on Sao Tome and Principe on Monday by 2pm Nigerian time.
